I am constantly reminded that the world we live in is a wrong one. Just when you think you're making progress, you realize that in fact, you are not.

Utah Theater cancels showing of Brokeback Mountain

That theater that canceled it, was ten minutes from the house I lived in when we lives in Utah. I don't know whether to be horrified, disgusted, or just really *really* sad.

::sigh::

And so it begins.

Oh Utah is off in its own little world. Seriously. It's like...LittleMars.

I'm going to laugh when that movie sweeps the awards shows and Utah is the only state going "but..but..but...*brain explodes*"

Assuming they have brains to blow up.

and the majority of them are mormon, so what do you expect. i'm not saying mormons are bad, just that they are not very accepting.

I know, and this shouldn't have shocked me at all. But you'd just think, after all the press releases and all the award nominations, that these people would just... get over it.

I'm still kinda surprised that Arizona even showed the damn movie, so... ::shrug::

no worries.... it is totally going to kick ass in the award show season and then people will quit thier bitching and secretly buy the dvd and watch it.

*now ofcourse i haven't technically seen it, but... i will. and the liberal in me is rooting for it despite if i see it soon or not. ;o)

Enjoying your site - a lot! It's such a shame what you've posted, as this film is truly gorgeous and, as I was watching it las night over here in London, it immediately became one of my top-fivers.
