So I thought I'd post a couple of the pictures from the TAI show. Only Beckett, I didn't get any good shots of the other guys and sadly I wasn't really trying. It's always going to be just about William Beckett for me I'm afraid.

God a lot of updating for me... must be sick of homework. ;)

Ok, back to the grind. LOL.

This is the most exciting day in American history. Remember this day and always remember where you were.

I will be in class, but between classes I'll be glued to the TV in the lobby.

Here's to change!

Remember when that was our anthem?

I've been very political this year and out there campaigning as much as my time (and pocketbook) allowed me to. Now the day is upon us.

I tell you all, VOTE. Obviously we all know how I'm voting, and if you don't agree with me, that's fine, but go vote. This is the biggest election of our lives and your vote does count.

So go... vote. Vote on the election, vote on propositions. For the love of God, if you live in Arizona DO NOT VOTE for Joe Arpaio. Good God. That's the only vote I'll tell anyone to do. Don't vote for that nut job.

ANYWAY.

Americans over 18, go Vote. Wait in line and *stay* in line. I know it's raining in Virginia. I know it's cold in the east, north, anywhere not Arizona. I know. But bring an umbrella, wear a hoodie, and stay in line. Bring your ipod if you need something to entertain you.

Don't wear any buttons, or shirts pertaining to anything voting because you'll be asked to take it off, or not be allowed to vote.

You guys, I can't say it enough.

Vote.

I have been very outspoken in class about my disgust for prop 102 that may pass in Arizona. It makes me *so* angry to listen to the argument of why people believe that marriage needs to be defined between "one man and one woman."

Tonight I am going to a forum that is going to talk openly about the proposition, both sides represented and I will probably walk out, because the arguments for this "defining" of marriage make me so ill and so sad for this country.

We think we've come so far and really, we haven't.

If you live in Arizona, vote No on Prop 102.

If you want to know more about prop 102, just ask me. I'll be happy to have a discussion with you.

Til then, 5 days 'til the election, get out and vote.

Please, Vote NO on Prop 107 if you are voting tomorrow.

This is *not* the anti-gay marriage bill, which has been the common misconception. The people hurt most by this ammendment are straight, unmarried, couples. This ammendment affects the elderly as well as childern and other couples. It's keeping people from being able to get health care.

The only people this proposition benefits is the healh care companies. That's all. Gay people still cannot get married in the state of Arizona. Please do not be confused by that. Regardless on mine, or anyone else's feelings on gay marriage, that is not what this proposition is about.

Please know the facts before you go to the polling places tomorrow. The health care industry does not need your support. People do.

Vote NO on Prop 107. It is already hard enough for people to get health care in this country, and the line seperating church and state gets smaller and smaller every day. Voting NO can help.

And if you still don't agree with me, that's fine. But at least vote and do so educated. It helps no one to vote for something you don't understand.

Thank you.

"Why is it that, as a culture, we are more comfortable seeing two men holding guns than holding hands?" - Ernest Gaines

We would like to know who really believes in gay rights on LiveJournal. There is no bribe of a miracle or anything like that. If you truly believe in gay rights, then repost this and title the post as "Gay Rights". If you don't believe in gay rights, then just ignore this. Thanks.

I swear I will never say this again as long as I live but... I am *so* glad there is no Supernatural this week. In fact I am so glad that on Tuesday I have *no* TV to watch.

I know! Shocking! But dude, I just remembered what happens on Tuesday.

RENT!!!

Rent is out on DVD on Tuesday. OMG! I saw the preview for it today and and and... Bonus songs and deleted scenes!!! I am going to bed *dead* on Tuesday. Just dead! I'm going to run and buy it after class and then sit and watch and my God if the Bonus Song is "Halloween" I will be incoherent for *hours* And and and!!! If they have the rest of "Goodbye Love" on there... then... I.... dude I don't even know what I'll do.

I never actually get the deleted scenes that I *want* so I've totally probably jinxed the whole damn thing, but regardless, I get to watch my movie again. I'm so excited. Aiee!! ::bounces::

I am constantly reminded that the world we live in is a wrong one. Just when you think you're making progress, you realize that in fact, you are not.

Utah Theater cancels showing of Brokeback Mountain

That theater that canceled it, was ten minutes from the house I lived in when we lives in Utah. I don't know whether to be horrified, disgusted, or just really *really* sad.

::sigh::

And so it begins.

I've had my LJ for probably 3 years now, two years of which have been spent as a paid LJ member, and it is only now, today, that I can actually say, I designed a layout for my LJ!

No shit, I made the banner myself and with the help of [info]matchboxforever I actually have a pretty layout.

I'll probably tweak it a little later, but it's *done*.

And now I collapse.

Support World AIDS Day

Please, everyone go to the Light2Unite site. All you have to do is "light a candle" and the company will donate a dollar for every candle, towards the fight against AIDS. That's means you pretty much have to do nothing, just go to the site and you're going to help raise money. So everyone should do it.

Thank You.

I've had like 4 people on my FL do this, so what the hell? Might as well, since I'm bored an all.

Post this using the 'anonymous' option so I don't know who you are:

1. One secret
2. One compliment
3. One non-compliment, criticism, or insult.
4. One love note, but it does not have to be for me.
5. Lyrics to your favourite song.
6. How old you are.
7. How long we've been friends
8. And a hint to who you are
9. After you do it for me, put it in your LJ and see who does it for you.

I need some help. I have a speech I have to give in two weeks and I don't know what to do it on.

Here's the prompt:

Culture Artifact Speech: This speech asks you to speak about the significance of an artifact to a specific culture, co-culture, or sub-culture. An artifact may be a material object, a person, an event, a place, a concept or a way of thinking. You should strive to contextualize the artifact wthin a culture and clarify why it is important for audience members to know about the artifact in relation to the culture. Past topics have included the importance of the coca leaf for natives of Colombia and Mexican-American identification with the Lady of Guadalupe

I have *no* idea what I should be doing this speech on, so any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

What should I do for my speech?

I needed a little change. So my journal is now purple.

I also have *way* more House icons now, thanks to [info]kwistina.

See how long it takes before I am *really* sick of the color purple. LOL.

Oy! All I've been doing for the last few days is talking about class. I'm sorry for that, I think I'm just on college overload. Lotta work, little time.

Anyway, my outline for my speech is *done*. I just have make my visual aid and to write up some notes on notecards for it.

My essay for English is a paragraph short of being done. I ran out of arguments. Which is bad. So now I'm just sitting here *staring* at it, waiting for something brillant to happen and no such luck yet.

I need to study for my women's test soon too. And I don't want to. Stupid class. I don't know what possessed me to take an upper division credit. Stupid Shannon.

OKay.. back to work. Maybe. ;)
